What can M.D. FORTÉ® skin care products do for me?
M.D. FORTÉ® products contain alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) to normalize the exfoliation process and increase moisturization of your skin. These processes generally slow down with age and exposure to the sun. AHA sheds, or exfoliates, dead cells of the outer layer of the epidermis, making it thinner and more compact. As the dry outer layer is exfoliated by AHA, younger, healthier, smoother-looking skin is revealed.

Is skin tingling normal when using an AHA product?
Yes. A small amount of tingling is normal when AHA products are first applied. It should subside within a few seconds depending on your skin sensitivity. If the tingling is uncomfortable, wait 15–30 minutes after cleansing before application of another AHA product. If redness or irritation persists, stop using the product and consult your physician.

GlyDerm Chemical Peels

An alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) peel is one of the most common glycolic peels performed. It is safe, nontoxic, and may be used over extensive areas of the body such as the face, neck, décolletage, hands and back. Irritation to the skin is usually minimal.

The GlyDerm glycolic chemical peels may be applied only in your physician's office. These peels accelerate the exfoliation of your skin and enhance the results you achieve using the M.D. FORTÉ® line of home care products. Expect to see improvements in dry, rough texture, sallow, dull-looking skin, and fine lines.

How frequently the peels are applied depends upon the skin care objectives you have set with the help of your physician. It's common to conduct 6 to 10 peels over a specified period to achieve the maximum skin care benefit.
